the phone interview with the church in las vegas went very well. they are really a neat church and stand behind the student ministry, BIG TIME!!!! in fact, every member of the church staff helps out in the the student ministry and the lead pastor’s wife is the person who is running it in the interim. and the guy i talked to who is the children’s ministry leader said that she is very passionate about student ministry. imagine that! very cool.
the church seems like the kind of church that we are looking for and it sounds like the staff there is really fun! in fact, me and the guy i was talking with had some great laughs together. he told me that i was in the top 5 and that they would be narrowing the list to 2 or 3 and then fly them and their whole family out for a face to face. before we hung up he told me that i was definitely in the top 3, so who knows! maybe, i will be getting a trip out to vegas with the wife and kids.
so with that and the church in prescott valley, az, i have two church’s that are very interested in me. so the winner wil be the highest bidder! LOL seriously, keep us in prayer as we try to find where God wants us.

well, tonight the church in prescott valley, az called me for a phone interview! the lead pastor had called me last week and said he was having a leadership team meeting and they would be having one person call me to arrange a phone interview this week, well i guess they wanted to just call now!
things seemed to go very well, i think i answered the questions well and they seemed impressed. they told me that they would would be contacting me again, so who knows! but please pray for His guidance!
and then last week i was supposed to have a phone interview with that church in las vegas, but some emergency came up and they had to reschedule it to this coming tuesday (may 24th) at 6:00p. so you can also pray for that one!
it is nice to have all of these contacts, but it makes it all the harder to know where God is leading us so pray that He would make it clear for us!

so the phone interview went well. they told me that they want me to fill out a questionnaire with some case studies and then fill out a personality profile. which the guy i talked with told me was the next step in the process. i am not the only one they are looking at but it is nice to be considered! i think that they are pretty impressed with me, but i have been down this road before so i am cautious.
i finished the questionnaire for the church in indiana and kimmy looked it over for me and helped make it sound better. i love that woman! and i plan on sending it out to them today or tomorrow.
and on tuesday, i got an email from a church in lost wages…. err, las vegas…. and they want to set up a phone interview. so it appears that when it rains it pours! 
so please keep praying for us, friends!

this past week i got a questionnaire from a church in auburn, in. which means that i am to the next step in their process and if they like my answers then i will make it to the next phase. so keep praying!
and then just tonight…. during 24 of all times! sheesh, don’t people have lives? LOL…. i got a call from a church in rockford, mi (which is near the left coast of michigan) and they set up a time to call me tomorrow night for a phone interview. so if you remember, pray tomorrow around 5:00p. it is nice to finally have some contacts!
