Yesterday, Kimmy came home from choir practice at our church and said that someone had given a card to someone else for us. Inside the card there was a very generous gift card for Kroger’s, so we can buy some groceries.

The economy in the state of Michigan stinks and anything automotive related is suffering, as everyone by now knows. Well, the company I work for, Banner Broach, is one of those companies suffering as well. We are not tied completely to the automotive industry, but enough that it is hurting us. I honestly don’t know how much longer I will have a job if things keep up like they are. This is sad on many fronts because my parent’s own the company and my brother works for them also. So it will hit my family hard. We are believing that we can pull through this though.

This past Christmas my family and I decided to bless one of the guys who works with us, and has a very sick wife, with a gift card to Kroger’s. None of us had a lot of extra money to spare but we felt that we needed to do this, so we pooled our resources and got him the gift card. Kimmy and I couldn’t put as much money in it but we sacrificed what we could. I love how God always fulfills His promises. We gave sacrificially and He made sure we were taken care of.

I have no idea who gave us the gift card, and if you are reading this “THANK YOU!” You have no idea how God used you, but hopefully you do now. But my biggest thanks go to God, who is the one who made all of this possible.
